Boozebury Blog

I am happy to say the Travelling Boozeburys are still enjoying life on the road. Australia never ceases to amaze us and all it has to offer. The stories just keep coming as the adventures continue. I am currently writing a follow up to Tall Tales And Dinkum Yarns, and must admit I am having an absolute ball doing so. To give you an idea, recently we have been the epicentre of a major electrical storm that literally made our hair stand straight up. We have travelled sideways along the mighty Birdsville Track and the Strzelecki Track after a rare drought breaking downpour. One morning we woke in the middle of a war zone and found that we were camped in a military training area!

So I can promise you that Part Two will have just as many adventures and laughs as Part One. Watch this space, and don’t forget to check out our blog.

Who the heck is Clive ‘Adventure’ Smith?

I have always had a passion to write. I never knew quite what it was that I wanted to write, but the passion was there. I also have an over-active imagination and I’ve put it, and my sense of humour, to good use over the years.

Born in England, I immigrated here with my family in 1964 and I have called Australia home ever since. I love this land and its people so much that I am now addicted to exploring its diversity. My wife Jan and I have been on the road for years now, having one adventure after another. Finally I have realised that it is these travelling stories that I’m passionate about sharing with you, my reader.

What the heck is ‘Tall Tales and Dinkum Yarns’ all about?

When we decided to stop ‘working for the man’ and realise our dream to travel Australia indefinitely, we discovered there is an adventure at every turn. ‘Tall Tales and Dinkum Yarns’ is an engaging and humorous compilation of our experiences, the events and characters – real and invented – who fired our imaginations along the way.

Whether trying our hands at farm work, fishing in red dust or looking after wild animals masquerading as household pets, we, aka the Travelling Boozeburys, have experienced it all.
